the big 23

friday, ryan was so sweet and took me to the temple...
first time in the beautiful logan temple. when you walk into the waiting room there is a wall, and you can either walk through on the left side, or the right side. and really all i was looking for was the dressing rooms. i totally thought those were it, because a lady came out from the left side, and a man came out from the right side. ryan and i were already on the right side, and so instinct kicked in and i thought, "oh well the left side is the women's dressing room", so i walked ALL the way around the waiting room chairs and couches to the left side, only to find ryan waiting on the other side of the wall for me. wonder what the people in the waiting room thought. i know they saw me.

he also took me to dinner for my birthday. i hate deciding where to eat... wait, let me rephrase that... i hate deciding anything. and i will be honest i threw a little pity party, because i wanted him to decide. poor ryan. after i pulled myself together and apologized for how i handled the situation, we decided to go to "Gina's". it was really good. ryan said that it reminded him of a haunted house. and then i got kinda freaked out. luckily the service was great, and the waitress didn't come looking to bite my neck to drink my blood and so that made me feel better.

Sunday (my real birthday) came around... i totally forgot, while i was sleeping in my bed waiting for my prince ryan to wake me up with his kiss, that it was my birthday. AWW MAN! it's not over? yeah, that's how i feel about my birthday. im a big grump. i thought my birthday was over on friday. so ryan dragged me out of bed and helped me walk into the bathroom to make sure i get there safe, because i take a while to wake up, and started to get ready for church.

a little girl in our primary class didn't forget to tell the primary presidency that they needed to sing to me and her for our birthdays. they said that i fit right in with the primary kids, because we are all about the same height. i did enjoy the birthday song. my day was starting to shape up.

when we got home, i got a few texts and phone calls and LOTs of birthday wishes on my facebook page. :) it's really nice to hear from everyone, not because it was my birthday, but just to get a message from people i haven't talked to in a while. my favorite one, (no offense to anyone else) was my mom's. she said, " i will never forget when they laid you up on my tummy and you lifted you head up and smiled, now i am the one smiling" love you mom, that was really sweet.

ry and i went on a walk later that day. a long walk. and it was nice. and he made me rainbow chip cake. he even sang to me. :)

after everything was over, i realized i really did have quite a good birthday. and i just wanted to say, thanks everyone for making it that way, especially you ryan. love you forever.
