ryan is 27 now...
yep 27.
we had a good time. well at least i did and i think ryan did.
we went out to the
(on monday, the day before his birthday)
ryan was sent a free dessert coupon and we had a gift card to go there. so really we got a pretty darn good deal. we had an appetizer. stuffed crab mushrooms. SOOO GOOOD!
(good thing i re-read this because it said "stuffed crap mushrooms")

then we went and visited some friends before heading home.
ryan's mom is delivering books for the real estate book this week. it takes her about 3 full days at least. so she and george weren't able to make it for tacos and cake on his birthday.
we missed you guys!
we missed you guys!
i went to the dollar store and got these sweet signs...
holly was ever so kind to let me barrow her house to have this little shindig.
so like i said, we had tacos and then we had cake!
so after this, we went home and went on a very nice walk. it was really nice out. (finally!)
then... i had been waiting for about a month to give him this...
italian scriptures and his favorite chef cook book.
it was pretty fun.
next year will be better!

mothers and a marriage...
so my cousin was married last week to his beautiful bride. they had their open house on saturday. it was beautiful. i just love the colors. the style, the music, just everything was perfect. they were so in love and it filled the room. how adorable.
so when the jone's get together... they really get together! it's a blast. we all get giggling and cant stop.
we did do some silly pictures. but not from my camera.
just these..
my camera is weird when there is not much light.
anyway cody and his wife stephanie were lovely...
MOTHERS DAY....
was soooo much fun! i was able to spend time with so many women in my life. mom, grandma, sister (minus one :( ) and a lot of my aunts and cousins. this family of mine is so amazing and very hilarious! it was so much fun to giggle through the whole weekend with all of them. special special ladies. ok ok, the boys were fun too!
love everyone!

herb garden
this is ryan's herb garden. he has been talking about making one for like ever... and so he decided to finally gett'er planted... now that he was able to. isn't it great? i have been loving watching everything grow. not just the herbs, but all of the things his parents planted in their garden. its a huge garden with all sorts of things growing, although not everything is planted. will it just get warm already?...

the weekend and some lasagna...
this weekend was mostly laid back. like really though. saturday i didn't do much of anything until later in the day. ryan was sick, so we didn't do our amazing saturday breakfast, that we usually never miss! he wasn't much into eating anything. he helped his dad with some planting and such. i sat inside on my bum for long time.
we did watch a few episodes of dr. quinn.
(huge fan, ryan and i... don't you dare laugh)

later, we started making stuff for lasagna that we were making sunday night. this wasn't just any old lasagna recipe. it was molto mario's recipe. all made from scratch....
(and it took like a whole day and a half to make)
ryan decided to double the batch....
(see the green pasta? that would be spinach pasta... and yes ryan and i made it from scratch. 100% home made)
we invited more family to share this delight!
there is hamburger, sausage, bacon, carrots, celery... and uh....i'm sure there were more delicious goodness inside, i just cant think of all of it (maybe cause my mouth is watering). we had this yummy goodness along with green beans and carrot cake for dessert.
mmMMMmmm....
we are having leftovers tonight. bet you wish you were me right now.
nothing like finishing the day with a walk, but of course not until jump starting holly's car, because it was as dead as a door nail.
ok, i did forget to mention that ryan couldn't stop taking about boogers all weekend. not sure what the deal was. i would rather not listen as he shared to others, that his boogers looked like a fetus inside his snotty tissue, several times. he just had to share it with his whole family, and i was always in the background. it must have been crazy, cause after he blew his nose, he said really loud and in a shocked voice, "Oh... MY... GOSH...." and about the kid in sacrament meeting digging and snacking?... don't even get me started. why did he have to point that out? that is the one thing that can make me lose my appetite.
i couldn't decide if this was better to share before or after the lasagna...
hope your weekend was filled with wonders.
xoxo
