the tree

it is officially fall. its getting cold and all i can think about is long sleeves and snuggling with a nice warm blanket right now.
i have the most beautiful tree in my front yard. and i watch it as all the leaves fall down. soon it will be covered in snow. oh man, how crazy!

some of my art

i don't think i have ever shared this, but i love art. my favorite are of faces. most of my best are in pastel and my very favorites are of my cousins, but i gave them to my aunt and uncle. i scrounged around and found some of my art, most is from my high school "ap art" class.
these are a couple of my favorites that i have...

i just decided i really need to start up again especially because my uncle asked me to do some in charcoal of his kids. i figured it's time to get back in the zone.. so i found a picture of me and my nephew, picked up my drawing pencil and got my grove on. this is what it looks like so far...

now i need to find a place to collect more supplies and such.

my friend got me free tickets to go to the bsu game saturday. i thought ryan would really like them, so he could take a friend. everyone ended up having plans, so i told him i would gladly go and we also went with our sister in law erin. i am pretty sure she was the most excited out of all 3 of us. i really did enjoy it, other than the heat and my starving belly. it was cool to be so close to the game.

ryan got pretty sunburned on his face and i got a little sunburned on my chest. we went to the mall, because i have been so obsessed with sees candies. so we went up to the counter and the lady looked at ryan and said, "how did you get so sunburned?"
ryan said, "we were at the bsu game today"
"oh, did you play in the game?"
i was pretty confused after this question, and i am pretty sure if you saw my face you would agree that i was indeed confused.
ryan just simply said, "no, just watched it."
then she asked if i went and watched also.
i guess she was confused, because i was not sunburned on my face like he was. so maybe she thought when you play the game, you are more likely to get sunburned on your face? even though the players have helmets which pretty well cover your face.
after leaving the store, we both giggled as how funny that was. ryan wanted to tell her he was one of the players and he just wanted to swing by after the game he played in for a chocolate candy, but decided not to.
what a silly lady.

we were also seen on tv by a few of our own fans. :) then we saw ourselves on the news the following night. we will be taking autographs soon.

another conversation...

ryan had his arms around me. and then he hugged me really tight.

ryan: you are my little jolly rancher aren't you?
me: ha ha, what? ...why did you call me that?
ryan: i don't know, it just came to me... because you are sweet and you like candy and you're jolly.
me: it wasn't because i lived on a ranch?
ryan: it does make sense now... my little jolly rancher.

a beautiful day. with a beautiful friend

this lady is amazing. i just know we were best of friends before we came to earth, because i feel she has always been in my life. i can't imagine it without her now. she teaches me so many things and tells me the most incredible stories about her life. miss virginia, you will always have a special place in my heart.

she invited me to go to the twin falls temple, because our boise temple is closed for a year+. so we left at about 11:30am on our journey. we chatted the entire 2 hours to the temple. the twin falls temple was just beautiful. inside and out. and it was a glorious, sunny fall day.

we met a lady inside the temple. she was sooo adorable and sweet. she said she was from italy, but then virginia and i missed how and why she spoke spanish as well. she told us so many things. she begged and made us promise to come again. she even invited us to stay at her home. i proudly told her my husband served a mission in italy and she beamed with joy. she asked if he liked to fish. i told her yes, he loves to fish, but hasn't had the chance to do so this year. she said, "i have a very nice place for you to stay and he can fish in my back yard!" it was so sweet. and she hugged us both and asked, "can i tell you that i love you?" we both just melted. "of course!" and we hugged her again. it just made me realize that the people on this earth are my brothers and sisters and even though it may seem to be the first time i meet someone on this earth, we once knew each other in heaven. but when she said that, i did feel her complete and utter love, and
i loved her just as much. it was just like the day i met virginia.

i was so grateful to go to the temple. i have missed it so much. i felt the spirit with me through the entire day.
after we left the temple we went for a bite to eat. it was pretty yummy. then it was time to go home. we shared stories all the way home. we rolled in about 8:00pm. the day went by way too fast. i wanted it to last longer. but i couldn't wait to tell ryan about everything that happened.

one day she took me to her property outside of town. we had a really fun time chatting, and she showed me around where they had fruit trees and quite a bit of land. we went antique shopping and she got me this gift to remember our little adventure. i will never forget it virginia. thank you so much.

Silver City

we took a trip to visit a ghost town that's called silver city. it was built in the 1800's. Too bad most of these houses are privately owned, because i wanted to walk through all of them with my medical bag like dr. quinn.
and next time ryan tells me to bring a jacket and i don't have one. i'm going to go and buy one, or at least back my winter coat. it was flipping cold!

me: lets play 20 questions!
ryan: ok i have one
i asked 20 questions and lost big time.
(he thought of a silo... c'mon! could you guess that?)

me: ok i have a good one!
ryan: is it an animal?
me: yes
ryan: is it a domesticated animal?
me: not being able to think of what that meant... what's that?
ryan: domesticated or wild?
me: domsticated
ryan: is it a horse?
me: LOL, there is still a little more to it than that.
ryan: your dad's horse?
me: LOL how did you do that?!

the game continued to be like this, where ryan picked hard ones and i picked what i thought was hard. like the new twilight movie that is coming out. and he guessed it. maybe ryan is just way to smart to play this game with me.

we were on the road to eastern idaho, to my dad's house for few hour visit, on our way to afton again.
sierra's phone call: where are you?
me: we are really close! like so close i think i see dad's roof! oh wait, that's a mountain.
ryan thought this was quite hilarious.

ryan: guess what animal is on my shirt i bought at yellowstone. all the animals you can think of. a bear, a buffalo, a woof...
dad, sierra, me: LOL! a woof??
