the weekend and some lasagna...

this weekend was mostly laid back. like really though. saturday i didn't do much of anything until later in the day. ryan was sick, so we didn't do our amazing saturday breakfast, that we usually never miss! he wasn't much into eating anything. he helped his dad with some planting and such. i sat inside on my bum for long time.

we did watch a few episodes of dr. quinn.
(huge fan, ryan and i... don't you dare laugh)

later, we started making stuff for lasagna that we were making sunday night. this wasn't just any old lasagna recipe. it was molto mario's recipe. all made from scratch....
(and it took like a whole day and a half to make)

ryan decided to double the batch....

(see the green pasta? that would be spinach pasta... and yes ryan and i made it from scratch. 100% home made)

we invited more family to share this delight!
there is hamburger, sausage, bacon, carrots, celery... and uh....i'm sure there were more delicious goodness inside, i just cant think of all of it (maybe cause my mouth is watering). we had this yummy goodness along with green beans and carrot cake for dessert.
mmMMMmmm....

we are having leftovers tonight. bet you wish you were me right now.

nothing like finishing the day with a walk, but of course not until jump starting holly's car, because it was as dead as a door nail.

ok, i did forget to mention that ryan couldn't stop taking about boogers all weekend. not sure what the deal was. i would rather not listen as he shared to others, that his boogers looked like a fetus inside his snotty tissue, several times. he just had to share it with his whole family, and i was always in the background. it must have been crazy, cause after he blew his nose, he said really loud and in a shocked voice, "Oh... MY... GOSH...." and about the kid in sacrament meeting digging and snacking?... don't even get me started. why did he have to point that out? that is the one thing that can make me lose my appetite.
i couldn't decide if this was better to share before or after the lasagna...

hope your weekend was filled with wonders.
xoxo
