do you remember? (day 8)

do you remember...

when we went on all those walks on the greenbelt? we went on pretty long ones in just our flip flops. there is no way in heck i could do that now. im a baby about my feet.

anyway, there was one particular walk that stands out in my mind. it's when we saw the midieval group of collage kids practicing in the park with their padded swards and their stylish home made costumes. do you remember? i had never heard of people getting together for practice. i guess they have some kind of battle later? anyway, i will never forget you asking the lady about when they get together to rehearse. and she said, "every wednesday at 7:00, and you can bring your own weapons" (all glad you were interested). yeah, i totally have a padded sward and soft tipped bow and arrow all ready to go in my closet at home. i really couldn't stop giggling to myself. i had no idea people were serious about that kind of stuff.

then we saw an old time little vw beetle with its motor in the back where the trunk would be. the motor wasn't covered or anything, it was all showing. maybe it was one of those racing type ones. and you said something like, "you like that bug?". you apparently thought because i owned a vw bug, that i liked ALL bugs. and i said something like, "it looks weird with its junk hanging out like that. i like my junk in the front". and we could not stop laughing.
